In the morning of March 1st 2016 at the Memorial Site of Late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong in Duc Tan Commune, Mo Duc District, Quang Ngai Province, Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province held solemnly the 110th Birthday Ceremony of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.
The ceremony was broadcast live on National Assembly television channel, the the Voice of Vietnam (VOV1), Radio and Television Station Quang Ngai and 10 Radio and Television Stations.
On this occasion, in the afternoon of February 29th 2016, Major General Pham Son Duong, the only son of Late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong paid a visit to Pham Van Dong University. He and his family talked about building the statue of Late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong in the park named Pham Van Dong at Pham Van Dong University. It is expected to open in 10th anniversary of the establishment of Pham Van Dong University in October 2017.
