In the morning of August 8th 2015, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Dang Phuoc, Party Secretary, Rector and PDU representatives met and worked with the delegation from VNU-HCM led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Party Secretary, Standing Deputy Director of VNU-HCM.
Both sides evaluated the results of cooperation between PDU and VNU-HCM in recent years and disscused about cooperation plans in the future.
Since 2009, VNU-HCM and Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement in the field of education and scientific research, the transfer of science and technology to serve the cause of training high-quality human resources to meet the development requirements of Quang Ngai province.
PDU staff has regularly visited and learned VNU-HCM experience in management and training; sent 16 staff for training to get master and doctor degrees at University of Sciences, University of Economics and Law and University of Technology (under VNU-HCM); elected 14 faculty for professional training and internship in 2009; actively participated in scientific conference organized by VNU-HCM.
PDU has associated with the members of VNU-HCM (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Economics – Law) to train some university level courses for in-service students of Journalism, Civil Law, etc.
In collaboration with the Institute of International Education, VNU-HCM, a course of MBA in international business for staff of Binh Son Refinery (Quang Ngai) and employees of agencies and businesses in the province of Quang Ngai located and was managed by PDU.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that implementing regulations on cooperation agreement between VNU-HCM and PDU in recent years has achieved encouraging results. He said that VNU-HCM will continue to support PDU in training human resources, designing training programs to meet the learning outcomes and training under/postgraduate students as well at PDU in the future.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Dang Phuoc thanked the cooperation and assistance from VNU-HCM in recent years. Simultaneously, he hopes to be supported in improvement of quality of teaching staff, management staff by annual training, in training programs, etc.
