In the framework of cooperation with VVOB, on 24th January 2015, Pham Van Dong University held a consultation conference on teaching practice for college students of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. Attending the conference was Ms. Dang Tuyet Anh, Representatives of VVOB Vietnam, Ms. Kim Anh, Leader of Primary Education under the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai, teachers in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education Divisions, and some other related officials. Especially, there was the participation of the 3rd year students from classes such as CTH12A, CTH12B, CMN12A, CMN12B.
At the conference 7 presentations are presented, in which many problems were discussed. In her presentation, Ms. Kim Anh provided information about the new features in professional activities, class room observation and, teaching evaluation at the primary level. The other presentations and opinions were interested in monitoring, evaluating the results of students’ teaching practice, instructors during the teaching practice time. Through the first period of teaching practice, many students said that although there were benchmarks but the evaluation results between this teaching practice team with others also had many differences, the guideline to design teaching plans was sometimes inconsistent that made students confused.
Through the conference, the Steering Committee of Pham Van Dong University, participants were interested in enhancing teaching practice of students during the learning process at the university, writing manuals and planning science homework in advance, etc. University leaders will direct the concerned departments, the Steering Committee of the pedagogical internship to review organizational processes, the evaluation criteria to better fit with the recent situations, and some other relevant issues.
Within the framework of the VVOB program, at the end of January 2015 PDU will hold a workshop on skills and methods of teaching practice guidelines for teachers in the internship schools”.
