In the framework of cooperation with VVOB Vietnam, is the unity of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai, on the days from 28th to 31st January 2015 Pham Van Dong University held training courses on skills, methods of teaching practice guidance for teachers of Early Childhood and Primary schools where PDU Early Childhood and Primary students will have their internship there.
Opening the training session, Mr. Pham Nghi, Vice Rector of Pham Van Dong University gave his speech and assigned tasks to the PDU core group of faculty members to coordinate and implement training content effectively in order to achieve the objectives set out. Attending the training courses there were teaching practice teachers of Early Childhood school (in the 1st course) and Primary schools (in the 2nd course) in Quang Ngai province.
In training courses, the trainers introduced about Arterveld Education College in Belgium; the differences between guidance and supervision, duties of teaching practice teachers, the steps to take and implement an orientation session. The participants also watched the clip about the communication skills during guiding students in teaching practice period; researched and discussed about “Johari window”, “active listening”, and “active facing”, etc .. Teachers participated actively in discussions, presented the results of discussions, role played etc ..
According to the evaluation of teachers in the training courses, training content is practical, useful, and there are many issues that need to be strengthened and supplemented and studied to be more effective in guiding teaching practice for students; training results should be replicated for other teachers in their schools.
