Present at the opening ceremony of the official survey for external assessment at PDU, from the CEA - UD and the expert delegation, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh – Vice President of UD, Director of Center for Education Accreditation – UD, delegation leader; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet – Secretary; Dr. Duong Mong Ha – Standing Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Anh - Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Duong Hung - Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Duc - Member; Dr. Le Thi Giao Chi - Member; and MA. Phan Thi Huong – Supervisor.
There were also observers from the other universities: Viet Bac University, Finance - Accounting University, Quang Binh University and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
From PDU, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Dang Phuoc, PDU Rector - Chairman of the Self-evaluation Board, Deputy Rectors and leaders of departments, divisions, committees and centers; Representatives of leaders of the Trade Union, The Youth Union, the Veterans Association, the Students Association; Representatives of cadres, officers, lecturers and students of PDU.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh, Vice President of UD, Director of CEA – UD, affirmed that ensuring and improving the quality of education were objective requirements of the integration trend and were decisive factors for educational institutions. In order to survive and develop, educational institutions must constantly improve the quality of training to meet the practical needs of the strongly competitive workplace environment in the globalization era. The main purpose of educational quality accreditation was to ensure that certain standards are met in training and to continuously improve and enhance the quality of training to meet the needs of human resource users and to ensure the rights of learners. The results of the educational quality accreditation would reflect the overall and substantial quality of all aspects of PDU's operations. Based on the results of the accreditation, PDU had a good foundation to determine its strengths and weaknesses and to improve its quality.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh also highly appreciated the close coordination between PDU and CEA - UD in the process of preparing for the official survey and asked PDU to continue supporting the expert delegation during the implementation of educational quality accreditation activities. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh also asked the expert delegation to carry out objectively, honestly and fairly assessment activities to make recommendations suitable and feasible for the university to carry out in the coming time.

Prof. Dr. Pham Dang Phuoc, PDU Rector - Chairman of the Self-evaluation Board committed that all staffs, lecturers, and employees will actively provide information, evidence and have a cooperative attitude in the interview to help the delegation to fulfill the tasks.

During the days of the official survey, the expert delegation will examine the evidence record, discuss - interview with stakeholders’ groups and get feedbacks from stakeholders, observe PDU's facilities to validate the information provided by the PDU's self-evaluation report, thus providing recommendations to help the university improve and enhance its quality.
The official survey for external assessment and accreditation at PDU takes place on August 15th, 2017 and ends on August 18th, 2017.
