Scientific research activities of students are an important task that is closely coherent to their study. Participating in scientific research helps students to train their self-learning and self-study skills to create products and innovations practically serving for their learning and socio-economic development of the locality and country.
Topics of student’s scientific research often focus on solving problems and contents of the modules according to each training major and are closely linked to the topic of graduation thesis, linked to the learning to improve their knowledge and overall skills. Simultaneously, the research topics of the students can be included in the research topics of the lecturers.
The number of student scientific research topics is allowed to be implemented through each school year as follows:

Prizes at the Provincial Technical Creativity Contest and Creativity Contest for teenagers in Quang Ngai province:
+ The topic "Designing, Modeling and Surveying Motion of the Mecanum Omni-directional Wheel" by student group of Pham Duy Khanh, Pham Van Tinh, class DCK10B, Faculty of Engineering - Technology won the Consolation prize at the Quang Ngai Provincial Technical Innovation Contest in 2014;
+ The topic "Designing, Manufacturing of Detail Plastic 3D Printer" by student group of Le Lam, Phan Dinh Khoa, Thoi Ngoc Vu, class DCK11, Faculty of Engineering - Technology won first prize in the Innovation Contest for teenagers in Quang Ngai and was awarded the Certificate of Merit by Central Youth Union at the National Youth Creativity Festival 2015.
In general, the scientific research activities of students have achieved certain results, have created valuable scientific products with practical significance, step by step enhancing the learning capacity of students, contributing to the development of training and teaching at the University, and also confirmed the position of the University compared with local and regional universities.
